~ Shiloh's Nick O'Quinn Signs to Play at Arkansas State University ~
Shiloh Christian's own offensive/defensive lineman Nick O'Quinn signed with
Arkansas State University on national signing day. O'Quinn was a three year
starter for the Saints, earning Arkansas All-State honors each of the past two
seasons. While being named SC's offensive player of the year, O'Quinn was also
an All-Arkansas selection by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, as well as being
named a finalist for the Arkansas 4A Defensive Player of the Year.
Congratulations Nick O'Quinn!
~ Coach Josh Floyd is the Consensus Class 4A Coach of the Year ~
For the second time in three years, Saints Head Coach Josh Floyd has won every
coaching honor in Class 4A, making him once again the consensus Class 4A
Coach of the Year. Floyd led the Saints to a 13-1 mark in 2008, capturing his
second state championship as a head coach. He also had his 5th Division I
football player sign in as many years, OL Nick O'Quinn. Over his 5 years at Shiloh
Christian, Floyd has compiled a record of 57-11, which is among the very best in
Arkansas high school football. Congratulations Coach Josh Floyd!!
Shiloh quarterback Kiehl Frazier received a letter from Western Michigan on
Thursday extending an offer to him for their 2011 football signing class. The
broncos now join Todd Graham's Tulsa Golden Hurricane as suitors for Frazier's
collegiate services.
~ Kiehl Frazier Picks Up 2nd Offer ~
ShilohChristianFootball.com is the first to report that QB Kiehl Frazier has been
offered this morning by Head Coach Gene Chizik to continue his football career at
the University of Auburn. The Tigers hired former Shiloh Christian Head Coach
Gus Malzahn earlier this Spring to install and run his now famed "Hurry-Up No
Huddle" offense, the same offense that Frazier currently quarterbacks for Coach
Josh Floyd's Saints. Malzahn offered Frazier while he was at Tulsa in December
of 2008, and now it is obvious that the interest in the 6'3" 211 pound signal caller
is still there. Frazier and teammate RB Garrett Harper attended Auburn's football
camp this week and both showed out in one-on-one drills. The offer from Auburn
is Frazier's third Division 1 offer, joining Tulsa and Western Michigan, but it is his
first from a BCS level school. Frazier and the Saints will be traveling to Harding
University this Friday for their first 7 on 7 tournament of the summer, opening up
with Springdale High at 2:15 pm.
