Harvill's Start At Kansas State Put On Hold
Shiloh Christian football fans will have to wait another year to see former
Saint Samuel Harvill playing for Kansas State on Saturdays. Harvill, the
strongest high school football player of all-time, tore his ACL during
summer workouts with the Wildcats, leaving him with a choice to make.
He could either stay on campus and use his redshirt year, or enroll in
January and save his redshirt year. Harvill has chosen to enroll at
K-State in January. The two-time defensive player of the year will
"Greyshirt" this fall semester, meaning he won't officially be a member of
the 2011 Wildcats football team. He will start at Kansas State in the
Spring of 2012, and be a true freshman for Coach Bill Snyder in the Fall
of 2012. In the meantime, he will rehab and attend community college
this fall. Anyone who has ever been around Samuel Harvill knows his
work ethic, and we can all be assured that he will come back from this
stronger and better than ever.
