Saints Great Adam Herring Heads Into Coaching
Former Shiloh Christian All-State linebacker Adam Herring is done with
his playing days, but he's not done with football. The leader of the 2006
State Championship defense is moving into the coaching profession. He
has accepted his first position, as a Defensive Graduate Assistant at
Middle Tennessee. Herring's father, Reggie, is the current linebackers
coach for the Houston Texans (Saints fans may remember his "Your
Trophy" speech prior to the 2006 title game).
Herring played for the Auburn Tigers from 2007 to 2009 and was a
member of the 2007 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl Champions and the 2009
Outback Bowl Champions. A two-year letterman, Herring played in 19
games and earned seven starts from 2008 to 2009 before a career
ending ankle injury cut his playing time short.
From the Shiloh FAMILY, congratulations to Adam on his first job.
